Kumaon Magical Garhwal

 

Day 1:Delhi – Mussoorie (330 km 6-7 hrs)

Early morning drive to Mussoorie. After arrival in Mussoorie check in at the hotel and later spend time doing local sightseeing in and around Mussoorie like the Kempty falls, Camel back Road, Lal Tibba and Gun Hill. Spend the evening at leisure and overnight at the hotel. Kindly note few places especially on Mall road cannot be covered by Vehicle and guest has to visit same on foot.

Mussoorie:
- is a wonderful hill station in Uttaranchal. It is situated at the foothills of the Himalayas and is known as the Queen of the Hills. Mussoorie derives its name from the plants of Mussoorie or shrubmansoor which are available in large quantities in this region. The lush green hills, the varied flora and fauna and the majestic view of the Shivalik ranges and the Doon Valley attracts hundreds of tourists both domestic and international to Mussoorie each year. Mussoorie is famous not only for its scenic beauty but it has also developed into an important center of education and business.

Haridwar

Day 2: Mussoorie – Rishikesh – Haridwar (100 KM).
After breakfast drive to Rishikesh. Visit Laxman Jhula, Triveni Ghat and Ashram’s. After sight seen in Rishikesh drive to Haridwar and check in at the hotel. Evening visit Har ki Pauri and enjoy evening Ganga aarti. Take holy dip in the river Ganga. Later visit local market near the place and come back to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

RISHIKESH
also known as the “Place of Sagas” is a spiritual town situated 24 kms upstream from Haridwar, at the confluence of the Chandrabhaga and Ganga and surrounded by scenic beauty of the hills on three sides. The whole place is considered to be sacred as it is believed that meditation at this place leads to attainment of salvation. There are many temples-some ancient, some new along the river Ganges. The River side is dotted by the ashrams of Sadhus and Sages. Rishikesh represents the site where Vishnu vanquished the demon Madhu.

HARIDWAR
– a paradise for nature-lovers, Haridwar presents kaleidoscope of Indian culture and civilization. Haridwar also termed as 'Gateway to Gods' is known as Mayapuri, Kapila, Gangadwar as well. The followers of Lord Shiva (Har) and followers of Lord Vishnu (Hari) pronounce this place Haridwar and Hardwar respectively as told by some. It is also a point of entry to Dev Bhoomi and Char Dham (Four main centers of pilgrimage in Uttarakhand) Viz. Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri.
Day 3: Haridwar – Corbett (160 KM).
After Breakfast, drive to Corbett. The park was named after Jim Corbett, the legendary hunter-naturalist turned author and photographer who spent most years of his life in this area and helped set up this park. On Arrival transfer to Hotel and check in. Evening free for sightseeing covering Garjia temple and Corbett fall. Overnight stay in Corbett.

JIM CORBETT NATIONAL PARK:
- can be befittingly called the paradise of Tigers for the fact that it holds a large population of tigers in its breathtaking landscapes that consists of different varieties of flora and fauna. Named after the legendary tiger hunter turned naturalist Jim Corbett (1875-1955), the proud destination 'Jim Corbett National Park' was the first national park of India, which was established in 1936 in the hill state of Uttarakhand in Northern India. It is one of the most famous wildlife destinations in India, visited by several wildlife enthusiasts who want to catch the glorious sights of the Indian tigers.


Day 4: Corbett - Ranikhet - Kausani (200 KM)
After breakfast leave for Jungle Safari in Corbett National Park. (Jeep safari on your own). After jeep safari come back to hotel and drive to Kausani via Ranikhet. After Ranikhet local sight seen drive to yet another beautiful hill station Kausani. Check in at hotel and overnight stay at the hotel.

RANIKHET:
- Ranikhet reflects the very best of the heavenly Himalayas, their lush green forests, majestic mountain peaks, exotic plant life and attractive wild life. To see nature and its elements in full harmony, the right place to be is Ranikhet. According to a popular belief, this spot had won the heart of Rani Padmini, queen of Raja Sudhardev. She chose this scenic place to be her abode and since then, it has come to be known as Ranikhet, literally “Queen's Field". At an altitude of 1829mtres, above sea level, the invigorating mountai
n breeze, the singing of birds, the panoramic view of the Himalayas - the sights, sounds and smells leave the onlooker spellbound.

Day 5 Kausani
After breakfast leave for sightseeing covering Anashakti Ashram, Baijnath and Choukori. Rest of the day is at leisure to explore the unspoiled flora & fauna of this beautiful hill station. Night stay in Kausani.
KAUSANI:
- There are very few places in the Himalayas that can compare with the beauty of Kausani - a picturesque hill station famous for its scenic splendour and its spectacular 300 km-wide panoramic view of Himalayan peaks like Trisul, Nanda Devi and Panchchuli. Kausani lies atop a ridge at an altitude of around 1890 m amidst dense pine trees overlooking Someshwar valley on one side and Garur and Baijnath Katyuri valley on the other on Almora-Bageshwar-Didihat Highway.
Day 6 Kausani – Almora - Nainital (130 KM).
After breakfast drive to Nainital via Almora. Cover the local sight seen of Almora and later on drive to Nainital. Check in and overnight stay at hotel.
ALMORA: - is a wonderful place to convene hill station, Almora enjoy the spectacular snowcap of the central Himalayas. Almost every day the tourist can see almost every peak. Almora allows you to enjoy the mighty Himalayas together with ridge after ridge of hills. The terraced fields, the stone slatted barrack-like village houses.

Haridwar

Day 7: Nainital
Morning breakfast and go on a sightseeing tour, beginning with boating on the famous Naini Lake (at your own cost) and visit to the holy Naina Devi Temple. After that, visit famous tourist spots like Naina Peak, SnowView and Lands End etc. In the evening, enjoy shopping at the Mall Road. Overnight stay at the hotel.
NAINITAL:
- is a glittering jewel in the Himalyan necklace, blessed with scenic natural spledour and varied natural resources . Dotted with lakes , Nainital has earned the epithet of ' Lake District ' of India . The most prominent of the lakes is Naini lake ringed by hills . Nainital has a varied topography . Some of the important places in the district are Nainital , Haldwani , Kaladhungi , Ramnagar , Bhowali , Ramgarh , Mukteshwar , Bhimtal , Sattal and Naukuchiatal . Nainital’s unending expense of scenic beauty is nothing short of a romance with awe-inspiring and pristine Mother Nature.
Day 8: Nainital – Delhi (310 KM)
